I'm not seeing double but my printer is printing one letter, slightly off-set, on top of another and producing a blurry mess.
At first I thought I'd gotten the wrong drivers but double checking proved that wasn't it.
The printer was working properly till I used System Restore and had to reinstall the drivers.
What have I done wrong and how do I correct it?
The printer is a lexmark Z11 and the OS is XP Home SP1.

Hi pam123, aka ATI guru :D

Try printing a self print test page. I believe that bypasses all the drivers and is hardwired in the printer. If it's also garbled, it's probably the printer. If not, I'd try uninstalling the drives / software, run RegClean or the like, reboot, and start over.

Thanks guys,
Using the driver removal in Device Manager and following with RegClean did the job. It was then safe to reinstall.
I made sure to use the Add New Printer Wizard, not sure if I did the first time.
A major reminder about paying attention.
