I have a RCA Lyra 1070 (the real compact one), and when I plug in the player to the USB port, and it begins to auto-install the hardware, I get the blue error message screen everytime. I e-mailed RCA but obviously they aren't going to reply anytime soon. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Quoted from C-net
. It has worked very well once I installed the correct plug-in. I already had the Musicmatch Upgrade version, so did not use the included CD. At first I could not get Musicmatch to recognise the player becuase I installed the plug-in from their site that is marked RCA Lyra/Lyra2. This is the wrong one. The correct plug-in is RCA RD1020/1070/1080 Thomson PDP2424/2428/2225. The picture next to this plug-in matches the device, but it is misleading for a new user, that right next to it is one marked RCA Lyra. You need to check the model number 1070 to find the correct plug-in"
Hope that gives some clues as to where to look for trouble.

I did install the software before I plugged it in. I may have downloaded the wrong plug-in.
