I've always been a huge fan of playing PC games with the key board. However, with games like spiderman the movie and the flying portion of BF 1942 I've decided to break down and buy a controler. After tax and what not I don't want to exceed $40. Keep in mind after 10 plus years of gaming I'm just now getting to this so I don't need the "meg-joy 5000" witht he heated seats, cup holders, and remote entry. I just want a joy stick that feels good in my hand that will let me be peter parker of or the next red barron.

I'm looking at this one at best buy. http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=11034846&m=488&cat=544&scat=546

It seems to have the features I want plus I have a$10 off coupon. sounds good. But what do you all think???

I'm also a keyboard fan but when I have to use a game pad I use my playstation controller. I have never seen the adapter in the states but if you look around you just might find one.

This info could help you if you have a playstation, if it didnt sorry.

Doobie was talking about something like these:

Never ever seen them before, looks like a great deal though. Thats if you have a PlayStation.

AFAIK Gravis is pretty good. But take a look at similar Logitech's controllers and compare.

I have a sidewinder precision 2 joystick and it's pretty good for me...I also have a gamepad called Propad 6...it's pretty good. Well...Good luck getting one you like!
