Thought I'd share this as it is very concerning since I do taxes. I actually switched to Tax Cut last year and didn't like it but think I'll stay with it after reading this thread. http://www.amdforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=183744

I guess I'll be switching to TaxCut. The fact that even after uninstalling TurboTax, that it will take up 1mb and 4 threads of memory is way too intrusive of a program for me. When I want a program gone, it better stay that way, instead of hogging my resources.

That is BS. I was thinking of buying TurboTax this year because I track everything with Quicken. But not now. I will figure out my taxes myself again this year.

Oh good gawd -- I just love how everyone just takes someone's word for it that c-dillia does all this nasty "stuff". Do you even want to guess how many programs use c-dillia? It may very well be on your computer right now. But of all the copy-protection schemes on the market, c-dillia is one of the less offensive -- yes it still hangs around after you uninstall a program, but so do many, many others.

audiyoda,

I posted this warning because this a very popular program that I'm sure many people in this forum use. Did I mention that you can only activate it once? Intuit has really crossed the lines as far as activation is concerned.

If you would be so kind to give examples of popular software that installs c-dillia I would like to know.

I'm posting a few threads so that members in this forum are informed of an issue that is very concerning.
