I just got my Radeon 9500pro intalled and running. The driver on the disk it came with is the catalyst 2.4 I know their up to 3.0 for the directx9 support, but I'm not doing that update until I get a game that requires dx9. Should I go ahead and update from 2.4 to 2.5 though? I've heard that by updating ATI drivers can actually hurt more than help. Just wondering if anyone has any info or heard anything through the grapevine.

Thanks

I don't see any reason not to go to the 3.0's. I currently have upgraded my AIW 8500DV to the non certified 3.0's (certified ones for my card are not available yet) and it works great. If you have problems, you can always go back.

I'm using Windows 2000 and I didn't think I could go back to the old drivers. I've just heard of ppl having performance decreases with the 3.0

Also I went to ATI's website and did the "find a driver" and I couldn't find the catalyst 3.0 driver download. Also, where is a good reliable place to dl Directx9?
