Apparently my computer has gotten a virus. I have no clue how since I have Norton Antivirus running 24-7 with auto-protect, script blocking, email scanning, etc. Apparently the virus disable Norton because I no longer have auto protect enabled and when I try to enable it a get a script error message, also whenever I try to run a scan, it will run for awhile and then stop showing the progress. I even tryed running it in safe mode and nothing worked. Anybody have any ideas, I also looked in the registry for programs that run when windows start and I couldn't find anything unusual. Another weird thing is somehow my windows theme got changed and when I try to change it back I get an error message saying "The visual styles could not be applied. Invalid signature."

Can you do an online virus scan, at http://housecall.antivirus.com/ ? What OS are you running? HTH

Run the online scan at Trend Micro like Floppyman suggested - and it will ID the virus but probably not be able to repair it - but note the name of it and research removal instructions at Symantec's site. They may have a tool for removing it, but if not, there will be manual removal instructions.
