i already have win2000 installed. i have a 6gb partition for windows only and 4gb for programs and stuff. is the partition for windows too big? if so, what would be a recommended size? I will only install patches and updates in the windows drive. this pc is only going to be used for me to understand win2000 better. i want to learn how things work in win2000 such as active directory and all the other stuff a normal user wouldnt use. thanks.

Hi,

I have partition just for the OS (win2k) that is about 5 gigs and approximately half of it is free yet. That said, depending what you install of course, IMHO you could probably go from 4-5 gig, perhaps even a little less. HTH
