I am currently running Windows ME

Can anyone tell me why my computer trys to dial up my ISP everytime I go into 'Device Manager'

How do I stop it !!!!!!

Do a spyware, virus, and trojan scan.

That is Spybot Search & Destroy to clean up the spyware.

I have the same thing happening and I have done the scans. I am going to trend micro to try that and am currently dling adaware6. I use spybot s&d, norton 2003, gladiator, and ZApro. I do a lot of downloading from freeware sites so am sure it is spyware just not sure which app has it.

Just downloaded and used Spybot S&D - worked a treat !!

I no longer dial up my ISP from device manager - mind you I have no idea which of the applications Spybot removed was causing the problem - everything seems fine now.
