Stylin,
I am glad someone else reads the best news out there, the Washington Times. One of the few conservative papers (news site) out there.

Isn't that interesting...Hey Bob what do you have to say on this??? Drunk Driving, or political influence to protect Drug Dealers. Which is worse?

Yeah, Perot brought this up on Larry King last night briefly.
Liberals always look the other way on stories like this. They roll their eyes and counter-attack. Such is the liberal way.
Wonder why it is only in the Washington Times. If Foxnews reports it I will listen.
What about the Bush AWOL story. Best to stick to the real stories.

As far as i know he was discharged honorably. So that little thing about a missing year means tee-tee. The way I see it, if the American Gov't can conveniently lose all the data as to the where abouts of the Japanese fleet, on its way to Pearl harbor, then the where abouts of one mans service record for an entire year means nothing. My father went to get his service record one time , and was told they couldn't find it... So as far Bush is concerned, the same thing probably happened. Oh and by the way, my father was his Company's clerk, and handled his file, so he's pretty sure there was one.

Isn't it funny how we've come full circle. When Nixon was persecuted the "Post" was the holy grail of truth for Dem's. But now that they've reported on one of thier own, the Dem's want to crucify it as a trash spewing rag. Bob you make me laugh, so I hope you continue with your posts. But to insinuate that a story which has basis in fact is a lie based on the place from where it was reported from, makes your ability to have an amiable discussion questionable at best. If Reno was forced to investigate (And we all know how she covers for her party), then there truly must have been some serious evidence which gave credence to the allegations. At least enough to warrant investigative action any way.
And second of all, if it were a bold faced Lie, how quickly would Gore's lawyers had the "Post " in court. I'm not saying he did or he didn't, because I don't know either way. But somthing looks funny here, and to dismiss it even handedly as the ramblings of a vindictive press, is simply silly.
And Lastly, saying somthing isn't or isn't true simply because it didn't come from one single source, is a recipe for disaster. I.E.
"Wonder why it is only in the Washington Times. If Foxnews reports it I will listen ~Bob"
Any person who had any want to know the whole truth, would be open to any and all information forthcoming, while at the same time considering its source. Watching, reading, or listening to one source of information and accepting it as fact, breeds ignorance.
StunGunz.
Sorry you feel that way. I looked for the story elsewhere first and could not find it. If it has merit I will reconsider. But it real hard to seperate the spin from the truth. If it has merit FOXNEWS will grab it.

Since when did FOXNEWS become the know all end all of News? This story was released via the AP newswire so every news outlet in the country had the opportunity to grab it. Since most news organizations are run by people who openly claim allegence to the liberal side of politics, it's not suprising that the story is buried or not covered at all.

Fox is not liberal. Trust me.
AP - Sure?
From the story its's self
"the Dallas Morning News, which first reported the undercover probe had been shut down"

I admit I responded rather harsh bob, and for that I apologise. I just like to hear as many angles as i can before I form an opinion. Sometimes by listening to sources i normally disagree with I can see a middle ground, which in most cases I feel is probably the truth. I had gotten more than a few clippings on the Houston story, and am in the process of tracking down the individuals who sent them to me, in the hopes that I can find where they got them as well. What I did glean from the Times article though was that while Mr. Prince claims to have never given any money to the Dem's it is rather peculiar that an investigation into his dealings had its plug pulled after he met with Gore. My guess would be he tried to give money. The Dems found out who he was and said no knowing about his questionable past. Then in an effort to insulate themselves from the possibility of a scandal involving a suspected drug dealer giving the party money, someone at an upper level used a little influence to hamper an investigation which could have become embarrassing. This is just a estimated guess mind you, and has no basis in fact. But I'd bet I was close...
I am interested in over a dozen articles today putting Sen. Kerry around the country making house calls to more than a few columnists offering up stories on Bush though? I haven't had a chance to read them all, but would be interested in your take on this. Also I heard the reporter from Maine on a Boston Station this morning, and she confirmed that it was a Dem' Delagate who gave her the info she needed. Even went so far as to tell her right away he was a delagate right after she asked him if it were true. I will agree though that Bush is dancing more than I would have liked to see, but then a DUI is embarrassing to anyone in any walk of life.

The Gore/cops/church/drugs story was in the Dallas Morning News, I believe, a month ago. Went into lengthy detail but died. Hmmm....

Bob, I'd say check ap.org, but I doubt you have the access I have here at MSU. It was sent out on the newswire a little over a month ago and was picked up somewhat. For a news story, it died, the investigation (according to current AP sources) is still on going.
And I know all too well FOXNEWS is not liberal, that was not my meaning. I guess you have to be on my side of the media content issue to understand where I'm coming from. In the industry (peer to peer relationships) as well as from the educational domain (pure content), FOXNEWS is not taken very seriously.

StunGunz, Post what you have on Kerry and I will look.

Finally I can agree with Bob on something. Fox news is not liberal. They are fair, they shoot the straight shi-t. I love em.
Foxnews is not a single source of news. It is clearly pandering to the right with it's content. It does however check it's facts better than many news stations.
My TV news balance is 30% Foxnews, 30% CNN, 20% MS/NBC, 20% CBS and ABC.
I check internet newspapers like latimes, nytimes, etc. too.
It is like a 401K portfolio. :)
