Im in the middle of installing new nvidia drivers, but it says i should uninstall my old ones first. How should I go about doing this, wont I have to restart with no graphic drivers?

Just un-install them via the Add\Remove applet from within Windows, then reboot and install the new drivers.

I uninstalled from add/ remove and now my video is obviously not looking too good. I then went to install and it gave me the message that it detected the drivers still, i checked the add/remove and they were gone...so i hit continue with installation. Now its giving me "this software has no passed windows xp logo testing"

my question is, do i want to continue?

Tell it to install anyway as long as you are sure you downloaded the XP drivers.

That just means that the drivers are not WHQL certified, which is not that important anyway.

It may be the NVidia.inf file that Windows is detecting.

Unistalling the drivers from Add/Remove programs does not remove the NVidia.inf file from C:\Windows\INF folder.

I think it's always better to delete this file before trying to install new drivers or a new card.

The INF folder is a hidden folder. To make hidden folders visible, in windows explorer or my computer go to tools, then folder options and select the view tab. In the window that appears scroll down to Hidden files and folders and select Show hidden files and folders and click ok.
