Most internet sites contain banner advertisements, but to be honest do you ever notice them, let alone 'click' them. Can you remember the advertisement when you entered this site. Any day now,advertisers will wake up to the fact that this is a very ineffective form of advertising, and devise new ways. Any ideas what these will be? I think one way is to make access to a site only through an advertisement, with perhaps a time lock on it so that you are stuck with it on your screen for a set time.Another favourite is more use of pop up ads,perhaps even take over your display every ten minutes or so - A bit like television advertising. I am aware of software such as Webwasher etc, but the internet is such an important market, advertisers will surely become increasingly aggresive.This might even lead to subliminal adverts, illegal in my own and other countries.
