Game types

I've seen people refer to differ types of games on the forums, and now I saw a new one to me. So, I just thought I could get this cleared up.

What are FPS, RPG and MMORPG?

I'm guessing that FPS are frame per second games. Are they 1st person shoot-'em-ups?

Someone should bash me over the head with a shovel for not asking months ago :p :D

RPG = Role Playing Game
MMORPG = Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game
RTS = Real Time Strategy
