I recently purchased a ASUS V9280 GeForce TI 4200 video card. When I installed it into my system, nothing comes up on display. The system does not show the POST screen and the monitor shuts down.
I reinstalled my original card and it works fine.
Next, I installed the new card on an older system I had and it works fine.
Any suggestions???

Please don't post the same question four times. In response to the question, make sure that you are fully seating the video card in the AGP slot of the system. It's possible that you have not pushed the card all the way in. If it works with your other system there shoould be no reason why it won't work with this. Could you also post your machine's specs?

Yup, we need the specs.
I'm guessing (this is a shot in the dark actually) that your mobo doesn't support AGP 4x (1.5v cards), but then again, we need the machine specs.

P4 1.4
512MB
GeForce 4 TI4200
40GB WD Caviar
WIN2K Pro SP3
AMPTRON P4920LSD series Motherboard with 4x AGP
I did check and the VGA card is seated properly.
PS. Sorry about the post showing up 4 times.........i kept getting page could not be displayed on the browser.

The VC could be defective.

maybe your motherboard just doesnt like the card, mines a bit temperamental about what card it takes too
i had a GF3 that refused to work anywhere near well, but in another machine, it shone. bought my GF4 Ti4200, and my computer loves it, so id try another card.

just a thought, have you enabled primary display adapter (or whatever) to AGP in BIOS?
