View Full Version : iMac Hard Drive Installation?

Does anyone know how/have a resource that I can view that might help me to install a hard drive into a slot loading macintosh? It's a 400 mhz machine and the HDD is making a lot of noise.

If your just going to replace it then just hook it up the same way the other one is hooked up (jumpers and all) then boot from your Mac OS cd (I'm guessing maybe Mac OS 9) and run the drive utility program then run the installation program.

Those macs use IDE drives which install just like a drive in a PC. www.maccentral.com is a Mac forum that I use from time to time for mac related questions.
