fan replacement

I replaced the cooling fan on the motherboard, after replacement my computer powers up, boots, stays on about 45 secs., then powers off, any ideas on what the problem might be? Thanks.

What brand and wattage is the power supply?

Is the replacement fan the same size and type as the original fan?

Cricket; I have a AMD Duron 1.3 processor, motherboard is Shuttle AK31, 256K mem, 80 gig HD. homebuilt. I have resolved this issue, but thanks for offering the help. I set the jumper for the CMOS to reset to default Bios settings, computer then came on and I reset the Bios to all of the original settings, everything is now working just as before. I want to thank the other person who replied, I think it was Firefly. once again thanks. usa67us (Ray from Texas.)

is that motherboard stable? iver heard pretty nasty things about shuttle.
