I've got an asus A7N8X deluxe motherboard that comes with 4 onboard usb ports. it can support up to 6 and came with a back panel with 2. i was planning on not using the 2 back panel ports and instead use the 2 ports in the front of my case. The problem is that the back panel usb port connectors are secured together in a plastic plug, but my front port connectors are separted into 4 parts and i'm not sure where each one goes. here's a picture to help illustrate:
The 4 front usb connectors are labled: Ground, VCC, Data +, Data -
thanks for the help

yup...the picture's straight from the online manual. it's also on page 31 of the real one.
i'm guessing that these go together:
Data +.......usb_p5 +
Data -........usb_p5 -
VCC...........usb +5V
ground......ground
but i'm not sure..
that still leaves NC (whatever that means)

"NC" stands for "No Connection"

whatever you do dont just try it!!!!
no just kidding, the worst that can happen is your usb ports wont work then you'll have to try it a different way

The worst thing that can happen if you hook them up wrong is the PC will shutdown when you try to connect a USB device, but it does no harm.

just make a good guess, and if it works it works, and if it doesnt i dont think it will blow up.

I have a Lian-Li Case(ahh, unexperienced parents), and I had the same problem, but a bit less caution. You got it right, It should work just fine.
