View Full Version : Memory timing
Hi
If I set my memory timings too low and my system locks up will I be able to re-boot and get back into the bios to change settings back again to the way they were?
thanks

You'll probably have to clear the CMOS with either the Clear CMOS jumper or by removing the motherboard battery for a few minutes. Unplug the system from the wall outlet before you do this.

Thanks Cricket
I am rumming stable with Corsair CL2 set on
CAS Latency 2
RAS to CAS Delay 2
RAS Precharge Time 2
RAS Active Time 6
That last one I thought might be worth dropping down to 5
What do you think regarding RAS Active Time and real world performance boost?

Sorry, I don't play around with my memory timings and don't fiddle and tweak my systems much, so I have no idea what would happen if you tried that.

Thanks again for your replys.
I concider myself forewarned about pushing memory timings around. I have been fortunate thus far, and will leave them as they are now.
