When Internet Explorer says it has a cipher strength of 128 bits, does this mean that it encrypts all data going from my PC, or is it only when using secure connections such as the “s-http” or “ssl” protocols?

I believe that is only when you are in secure connections, if you where using 128 all the time your connection speed would seem to drop like a rock.

I know in the wireless connections I support, we only support 64 BIT but the router is compatiable with 128bit but we dont' support it because it slows the connection too much.

Well the connection download rate is the same, but the decoding it what really gets you I believe. I could be wrong.
