model 6 model 7

Question:
Is the .18 core AMD Athlon a model 6 and the .13 is a model 7??
I just ran into a nice board the supports the model 6 AMD but not the model 7--thanks

Model 7 is a Duron CPU
Model 6 & 8 is the XP
and some of the processors have no model number, plus to confuse things more there is a model 6 and a model 8 for each the 1700 and the 1800 (Stepping model).
What is the brand of the motherboard, as it sounds like one of the cheapie board manufactures trying to sound like they have something new and exciting. (Similair to when they say the ports on the board are in vibrant colors (PC -Chips).

6 can also refer to the socket 7,AMD k6 line of cpus,it's socket A boards you would be looking for.

the board is an asus a7v133a which uses the pc133.these machines will be for small office use.

The 133a supports a 266 fsb,so handles all the original Tbirds and probably could handle some palaminos.it also handles all the Durons,so I suspect it's referring to the Tbreds as the cpus it can't handle.

No the Geeks has it for 41 bucks, like I said it is a nice board for the money.
