Correct but there are some thirdparty hardware I believe.
Maybe someone can give us some more information.

Tried searching google, and found one thing that said NT4 doesn't have USB support. Looked thru microsoft.com's NT 4 homepage, and didn't find anything about USB. So I'm guess you're correct. Although there may be third party drivers. I don't know.
Found this too: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;196661

If you think about it, it shouldn't be a surprise that NT 4.0 doesn't have USB support. NT is a server OS, not a desktop OS. Not much call for USB on a server. Especially when NT 4.0 was written and introduced.

As far as I know there is no USB support in NT 4.0.

So, never in Microsoft's wildest imagination would any NT 4 user EVER desire to use a USB device? How pea-brained and tunnelvisioned can that be?

$$$ that is why we now have Windows 2000 and Windows XP family of OS's
You have to realize NT4 came out before USB was popular, maybe even before USB was available. It's still a pretty decent OS considering how old it is. I can't even imagine how many machines there are out there still running on it, but it's a bunch.
