looking for a simple remote access program

Ok, I am looking for a program very similar to what I have access to at work.

We have a tool, to take a person to a website, they fill out a simple form then download a program and install it on their PC and we can take remote control access of their PC, on any windows.

I am not looking for PC anywhere, or LapLink. I dont' have the exact name of the program we use, but it is under the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE so I can probably find out what type it is, but I don't want to stick my neck out too much.

I am doing a bit of reseach tonight on the web, found a few I am going to try.

I am in the process of getting ready to open my Computer Service shop back up, hopefully this summer and I would like a nice remote tool that falls in the GNU. I would like ideas and I plan to post back on what I find.

I am trying TightVNC out now.

TightVNC seems sweet. I will try to write up a nice how too, unless i find better. It was confusing at first but I read the how too guide.

Byte I was looking around the other night and found THIS (http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/index.html) I haven't tried it, but thought of it when I saw your post.

VNC has worked very well for me. I use the real vnc server and client extensively on my home network, http://realvnc.com. Additionally, I'm pretty sure it's compatible with the AT&T vnc you linked to, ie, a computer with the AT&T server could be accessed with the real vnc client. I can't confirm this right now as one of my computers is down ATM.

If you've got the extra cash however, I'd bet that Remote Administrator would be better. VNC is free and simple, but its also pretty slow.

dldz, the one you posted works well too.

So far I have tried TightVNC the one dldz recommended, they software is very simple in both. Both seems to work well on my network I am going to attempt a remote control of my home PC from work when I get the chance. That will be the real test.
