might be talking about this...Configure the LED (http://www.pcmech.com/byopc/step/3/) ..could be wrong...
The LED on the case operates completely separate from the actual speed of the system, so you can set that now. It is done with jumpers on the back of the LED. You will need the little manual that came with the case to do this right. Many newer cases don’t even have LED’s, so don’t worry about it.

I haven't seen cases with that display since the 486 and earlier days - and I don't think I've ever seen an ATX case with one.

I've never seen one, glc. Not even on some 486 machines I've worked on. :p

Never has been relevant in my opinion, it's just eye candy.

That's what I kind of thought, since I haven't seen it on a motherboard before. ;)

just an idea...someone who knows anything about the informative led displays ie. cpu temp, ambient temp, winamp visualization etc. could possibly write an article on how to install, use and program them. I dont know much about em so im no help.

mystvearn: We are all unpaid - and we are soliciting article submissions! It's not fair to expect unpaid staff to do all the work around here, this should be a community effort. It would be a different story if we charged a membership fee and the staff were paid.

Have you read the announcement at the top of each forum about editor positions?
