I want to build a Custom window. What I was considering doing was taking a piece of plexi glass and out lining the image I want then shaveing down the plastic around it to the depth of the case then using a selent around the edges. Is this possible or likely.

It will be hard to make the shaved edge even. Possibly, you could use a small (say 3"-4") circular sander.

However, I think your best bet is to cut out the shape you want in the case side and cut the window making it about an inch bigger all the way around. Pick up some automotive trim tape at your local automotive store and attach the window from the inside of the case with the tape.

Imagine a square piece of plexy glass
Now shave down all put image then
place behind side door of case so raised
part comes through and shaved part is
glued to door the image will be cut
out of the side door also. The image will
be like a jack o lantern. The raised plexi
glass will come through the side door I
was hoping for the profile of a girl angel
and devil holding up the side fan with the
angel doing all the work. So is this possible
and does anyone no of a site with angel and
devils kind of profileI saw them on a t shirt once

LIke I said it will be very hard to evenly shave the plexi all the way around the image so the shaved edge will be a consistant thickness. It will be very hard to control the thickness so in some places when you glue the plexi in you will see places where the plexiglass will be above the surface of the door and other places where it will be below.

I'm not saying it can't be done just that it will be very difficult to do at home with hand tools. The only way I know to do this and have acceptable results is on a machining center like I use at work.

umm.. most of the plexi glass windows that you can buy i thank are lasercut so i am thinking i may be hard to shave down the plexiglass..
