I have a virus that I can't get rid of! Help! Info inside.

I have this virus called I-Worm.Nimda

But I can't seem to get rid of it. I am using AVG 6.0 for Windows, its a good free virus package. My OS is Windows XP.

The procedure for cleaning the Nimba worm can be found at this site. (http://www.counterpane.com/alert-nimda-risky.html) . You can also find similar procedures at Norton and McAfee. Please do us all a favor and make sure the computer stays off line until you have cleaned the worm.

Cert (http://www.cert.org/advisories/CA-2001-26.html) recommends reformat and restore from secure media as the best way to kill the worm. Of course they are concerned about putting servers back on line as fast and clean as possible. .
