Vinyl Dye Gloss

Can you clearcoat vinyl dye? I was thinking about clear coating my front bezel afer dying it, so that it doesn't look dull compared to the rest of my case. Is that possible? I'm willing to do the sanding, etc.

Hi Pluto101,

While reading through these instructions (http://linear1.org/mods/vdye.php) on using vinyl dye for the case I've seen the author mention that it would be ok to use clearcoat (http://linear1.org/gm/archives/00000077.php) on metal vynl dyed parts, but no mention of plastics. Take a look at some of those pics though, you may not even need the clearcoat.
