If I want to start a web page for a buisness what classes should I take as in like a java programming college course or c++. And is there any way to self teach this to my self I mean I am really quick on the pick up and it would be much eisier if I can teach it to my self by reading it of a web page faster to. I have seen a few software programs and buisness that set up web pages but am not sure if thats the way I wanna go because software is limiting and hireing someone to do it makes me reliant on them to solve problems and it costs.

http://www.htmlgoodies.com/ Would be a great place to start to learn HTML. HTML is what you want to learn to make sites. Java would be great to add things to your site, but a college class or a good book on HTML would be a good place to start.

HTML, Javascript, XHTML, DHTML, and PHP are some languages used. ;)

Start with HTML. You can design a GREAT site using just HTML. Then branch out from there to get the fancy things and more intricate things. DHTML and the like. Just be careful that what you use is supported by most browsers. Test in IE, Netscape, and Opera at least.

www.webmonkey.com has a lot of good tutorials for web design including HTML, DHTML...etc, etc.
