There are so many sites on the web for build your own arcades and I put this thread in here cause all it is is really a big case mod for your whole pc. I was just wondering if anyone had done it before because I have a Pc that would work great and the only thing it would really cost me is the wood and paint for the case, Joysticks and buttons which are like say $60 for 4 joys and 6 buttons each plus player select buttons, and the cost of the monitor. And thats where the big question comes in. How do you set up the monitor? II know some use mirrors and all sorts of other set ups. I hope someone in one of these groups is as much a old gamer as me and built a arcade or knows some good arcade building sites that have a monitor setup.

Older arcade games, such as space invaders, used mirrors. Modern arcade games don't. The monitor is just set in the box (or mounted like an Area 51 game--huge monitor :p)
Jeez... i was looking at a PC magazine a few days ago and it had a PC arcade setup in it. It was the CPU magazine or something like that. Kind of like PC World. Maybe it's on their website.

Thats cool but If I build a cabnet myself I don't want to spend $200 for a 27" tv to make it look ok.

I've seen those lenses for game boys, I haven't see one for a TV, though. Try searching ebay and amazon. ;)
