What can I do to show my appreciation?

I have always been amazed and horrified and sorry about all the murder and killing that happened in World War 2, how do you think I can show my appreciation or do something about the soldiers who were fighting in the war so I could be sitting in front of computer right now?

Send a donation to your local police and fire department :)

Volunteer at your local nursing home. Also there are VA nursing homes, then you would be guaranteed to be working with a veteran. Or even your local VA hospital.

Next time you see one of those stupid people protesting about the war, kick their butt on video tape and bring it to the VFW for the guys to enjoy. I recently found out that they REALLY REALLY REALLY hate those protestors and enjoy watching them getting their butts kicked VERY much...LoL, they get a big kick out of it.:)

those are alot of good ideas. I had actually planned to stop in a VFW and buy a round of beer. Only thing that has held me back has been wondering if just alot of non Vets would be hanging out in there.

It's funny I come here today and see this post. My father in-law just passed. His funeral was yesterday. He was a WWII hero, serving in the Army with the famous 761st Battalion. He also served in Korea, and was wounded in battle twice. He retired in 68 after 28 years. He had just received his orders to VC, but decided not to push his luck in three wars.

Here is a good one. If you live near a veterans cemetary, next Veterans Day, go to the service at the cemetary for the Vets. Most have them. I'm also a Vet. Pray for all of the lost ones, and the ones to come, and honor the men, and women who gave their lives.

Be always a man of honor like they were.

Defend in any way you can the ideals they fought for, as they sacrificed their lives in the hopes of leaving a better world for their sons and the sons of their sons to live in.

And yes, the next time you see those cravens protesting as they wave their circle of peace sign and shouting that men who fight in wars are stupid, kick their arse.
