Compaq Presario 5673 which previously had W98 has wiped out hard drive.
Previously had a PRI DOS partition C:, and an EXT DOS partition D:. The BIOS is accessible, but with no helpful options to solve problem.
A Quick Restore CD is available, but dies at a blue screen. A SoftPak9477 might be necessary to create a Compaq bootdisk, but this SoftPaq only wants to create a bootdisk in drive D:, vs. drive A:.
Anyone had any successful experience downloading and executing SoftPak 9477?
Any suggestions as to how to get this PC up and running?
