I recently bought a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer off Ebay (second hand). The problem is I cannot get this mouse to work and I am wondering if it is broken. I have downloading the latest drivers (intellipoint 4.1) and I am having no luck whatsoever. My mouse at the moment a Logitech MX700 was a total breeze compared to this piece of crap! I did not get any instructions which has not helped matters either. I tried to install it as I did with my logitech, by just plugging the mouse into the USB port and booting Windows (XP) up, the mouse just does not work a tall. So I booted up XP with my PS2 mouse and installed the drivers and selected my mouse when told to do so (Intellimouse Explorer). Shut down windows connected the mouse and then restarted my PC. When the PC booted up the red light on the back of the mouse lit up, then when Windows started the red light went out and the mouse will not move the cursor! I have messed about for ages, tried enabling USB mouse support in the BIOS which did zero good! I cannot find any installation instructions on the NET so I am screwed. Just wondered if I could be doing something wrong installing this mouse but I expected it to be real straight forward, or do you think it is just broke??

I 2nd that! A mouse should just install, XP should find it no problems, sounds like a dud.
