I'm going to build my sister a computer. She's going to be using it mainly for internet and some gaming.

I am thinking about using the SOLTEK SL-75FRN-L. Constraints are the mainboard needs to be able to use a 1.33 T-bird that I have on hand.

Also, I like the on board sound, game port and LAN. I'm on a pretty tight budget, but don't want to cut so much that I'm just rebuilding in six months.

Does anyone have an opinion about this board or a suggestion? I also like the fact I can be upgraded to use the 333Mhz FSB.

Thanks.

Soltek makes some good boards.
The one you're looking at is just that.
The problem with the Nvidia2 boards is sometimes they don't hold bios settings.
Soltek states if such a problem arises, simply clear cmos and reset the bios.
That's the only problem reported.

I have one setting in my computer room ready for an upgrade to my machine. I really like Soltek and see them as a high end board with a reasonable price equal to Asus without having to pay the premium for the name.
