Anybody using Logitech mouseman for games?

I was wondering if anybody is using the logitech cordless mouseman for games? What I am basically wondering is are the extra buttons programmable in games? Or does this mouse suffer from similar bad drivers like the Logitech MX700 that I currently own. I have just seen this mouse pretty cheap and I like the look of it? Any advice please?

I used to have the Cordless Mouseman, got it for free. Tried it out one day and didn't like it. I now use the MX500 which is honestly the best mouse I have ever used.
