Do you have Win95 boot floppy??
If you do then boot with it and type FDISK and delete any partitions or extended logical drives. There may be a NTFS partition on there now so the big thing is to get rid of the ntfs partition cause win95 can't read it. Then you want to create a new partition FAT16 or FAT 32 depending on the version of win95 and the size of the disk. Then you reboot and one more boot with the floppy to format the drive, then it will be all set for win95 installation. Do you have floppies or CDROM. You'll be in trouble too if it's win95 OS1 and it's bigger than 2G HD. Win95 OS1 can only use FAT16 and utilize up to a 2G drive.

What can you do if you have a 4 Gig? Can you partition it into 2gig chunks? Can you partition it in that machine, or would you have to partition it in a Win 98 machine and then install it into the Win 95 machine? Why do you want to trade Win NT for 95? Isnt NT superior to 95?

Format utility cannot format NTFS partitions. You will need to use a zero-fill utility to format the NTFS drive.
Mountaineer, yes, FAT16 has a 2GB limitation, so you will need to make 1 partition 2GB and the other 2B.
