I never did like Geraldo Rivera, to me he's a tabloid reporter who got lucky as a news reporter. I don't think he actually cares about the Iraq War as much as how this will improve his ratings as a reporter. He deserves this and more.

I kind of saw it coming. I was watching Fox last night and watched Geraldo get down on his knees and start drawing a map in the sand and telling us where people were. I was thinking, "Geraldo, what the hell are you doing?!"

Another one bites the dust, Peter Arnett dismissed by NBC & MSNBC (http://www.msnbc.com/news/893115.asp?0cv=CB10) .
I didn't hear about Geraldo and I don't see anything on CNN.com. Anyone have a link to the story?

Look on Drudge. It seems he's probably getting kicked, but he's denying it left and right.

If it is true,it could not have happened to a nicer guy.

"Loose Lips Sink Ships" and Geraldo's are as loose as anyone's. IMHO he should be removed from the front lines. I think he's far too high a security risk.
That being said, I just saw him early this morning still reporting from his vanguard position.

Yeah, I'm kind of wondering if this whole story is fiction or if there is really something to it. Given some of the other fiction coming from the media about this war, I wouldn't put it outside of the realm of possibility.

I saw on TV last night on a newscast that Geraldo says that he hasn't been expelled, but the Military said "He has, although he doesn't know it yet". :D

I haven't seen anything verifying this either, although they should ship him out of there. I think the media in general is getting a bit overkill with everything going on...

i agree with that. the public does not have a right to know strategy.
