Re-use floppy in Dell System

I have an existing Dell system, and I was wondering if I could remove it and install it into my new build, I don't know who the mfr is. I would think this shouldn't be a problem, but maybe there is compatibility issues?

There shouldnt be anything wrong with it. A floppy is a floppy. If it dosent work though, no biggie, they are like 8 bucks and are rarely used anymore.

That's what I was hoping, just wanted to make sure. I don'r normally use floppy's and I know they are on the way out, but as soon as I get rid of it, I'll need it for some reason.

Technically yes. The only problem I have seen with is the button. On some systems the floppy drive button is on the front case and pushes against the floppy eject latch, on others the button is part of the drive.

On those floppies that Iman talks about, some don't have standard bezels so you can't use them in a standard case - for the $10 you might as well buy a new floppy.
