Short IDE Cable [Archive]

Where can you get a short IDE Cable? I want to build a mini PC and am interested in finding a short IDE cable. I was thinking one hard drive and one CDRW.

18inches is really undesirable. I was thinking more like 6 inches or less.

Im pretty sure 10 inches is Ide minimum, but i think you could make a short one if you were really willing to risk it, i dont know what would happen. You can take the plastic connectors off if your careful, and move them around. Getting them back on right is the trick...might have to have a few extras around. Otherwise, a place like www.newegg.com or www.svc.com would prolly have short round cables, which would also be less bulkey, while still long.
