Crazy Celebrities...

Have you guys noticed that some celebs have just been really stupid...They are playing carreer russian roulette when they try and make a comment about the war...Havnt they learned by now that no matter what they say, they are gonna get bombed by everyone(I dont personally think that should be the case), but shouldn't they realize by now that they are just asking for it if they try and comment on anything about the war...unless of course all it is, is something like :Hope the troops make it back soon"..something like that...and then theres the others who trash the US...LoL, boy are they asking for it...:D

I don't pay attention to what celebrities say about the war and it doesn't affect on what movies I see, for they are not the ones calling the shots and I go to the movies to be entertain not really caring all that much who is in the movie. Besides the war part is pratically over (almost over), but the real hard part is just beginning - putting back together Iraq without the rest of the world thinking that we are the "Evil" United States.

I agree..I never let it bother me...nor would I EVER let it determine what movie I see, or anything like that...I personally believe they should be able to say whatever they want...Its pretty lame that just because they happen to be famous, people feel they should be able to dictate(no pun) what they are allowed to say...I just wonder why, even after the celebs who have been drilled...others continue to do so, but I guess you got to respect them for having the guts to do so:)

I don't respect them for it. I think a lot of those folks are intellectual lightweights whose political views are based solely on how the FEEL and not on any logical thought process. Sure, they have the right to speak, but it doesn't mean anyone needs to listen or take them seriously.

More than just them Krinkle...there have been lots...you got Richard Gere, Susan Sarandan, Barbra Streissand(the dumbest one IMHO), Jane Fonda...Few other who I cant recall at the moment...but there have been many...I hate the fact they get drilled for saying what they feel, not like anyone cares really...

Biggest celebrity to come out of this is the Iraqi Information Minister Mohamed Saeed Al-Sahhaf , or baghdad bob.

I am not sure how the celebrities are negatively affected. I mean Michael Moore has sold many more books and videos since his appearance on the Oscars and sale of Dixie Chicks albums have gone up since their comments.
