hi i have an althonxp 2000+ running at a slightly higher fsb speed. instead of 133 mhz it's at 138mhz, giving me an overall performance boost from 1.67mhz to 1.73mhz. it runs stable at this point at constant and controllable temperatures. my mobo does not allow me to change the speed of the processor, only the fsb. it is an asus a7m266.
i would like to know if i can experiment with upping the voltages. is this something i can do in my bios, like with the fsb? or will i need to take apart my case and mess wtih jumpers - something i'm hesitant to start doing.
i've seen charts where people my processor have regularly gotten above 2ghz in raw clock speed. i don't want/need to go that fast but i'm having fun dabbling with minor overclocking adjustments.
thanks!
