Installing first Mobo - Asus A7V333-X: Help!

I'm installing my first Mobo, and I have some questions about the panel hookups for the case to the Mobo. Here is the set up I have, looking at it as it is on the mobo (please be patient):

The first two from the right on the bottom are for the reset. The reset connector has a little "s" with an arrow over one part. Does this go on the right or left? All the others have this too, and I assume that it means something.

The third proceeding along the bottom from the right appears unused.

The next two going along the bottom are for the main power switch.

Now is where I get a little confused. The next two heading right are for "smt" according to the board. The next two after that are for the "mled". I'm not sure what these are, but I assume they connect to the led lights for the case. What purpose do they serve?

Starting on the top row of pins from the left, the first is not marked, but the next two heading right are for the power led. Only problem is that the power led connector has three slots, and only two pins are labled for it. Do I take up the extra pin to the left of these or the one to the right??

The fifth and sixth pins on top from the left are for the keylock. What is that??

The last three pins on the top are labled for the speaker. But again the connector for this part has four slots! Do I just line it up with the right end and take the extra pin to the left?

Sorry if these are mundane questions, but I'm learning!!! This probably won't be the last post I make regarding this build, so please be patient if my questions are silly. This board has been a great help in the past to me, and I look forward to learning enough to answer questions myself someday.

Do you have the manual? It shows which pins to take clearer than looking at the board in my opinion. I have a build with this board ready to go but am on another project at present(neighbors compaq, with no driver disks!!).
The speaker connection is the one I think is not as clear. I hooked the red wire of my case speaker to the speaker pin and the black to the gnd. Hope that is right.
The character on your plugs could be signifying either pos or neg. By the sign you are using I would "guess" +. Check it with a multi-meter set to the diode check maybe?

Sorry, I found the exact diagram of the pins in the manual. I must have overlooked it. I says the Smi is the system management Interrupt. How would I hook that up? Does it belong to a separate item?

What purpose do they serve?You really only need to connect 4 (maybe 5) connectors from the front of the case...power, reset, power LED, HDD LED (and the speaker if necessary). Any other pins are for things for networking or intrusion detection...really not necessary for a stand alone system.Originally posted by piccolo0u812

When you do this, you can remove the pin connectors and move them to another position on the connector. Adjust as necessary.Originally posted by piccolo0u812

Do I just line it up with the right end and take the extra pin to the left?If your motherboard has an onboard piezo speaker on it already (little round black cylinder with a small hole in the top of it), you don't need to hook up a case speaker. Take a look at your motherboard.

If you do need a separate case speaker, you'll have to adjust the pins in the connector as necessary.

You don't need the SMI. The keylock is for cases that have a physical keyhole on the front to lock the keyboard.
