Whats a good brand of 19 inch CRT monitor to buy? If you can list a couple it would be great.

I have a Samsung 955DF, and I love it, except it will *only* do 60Hz @ 1600x1200, which is a bummer for me.

Not for my desktop; I prefer the higher refresh for gaming, especially since I *always* enable v-sync.

Viewsonic or MAG. Both pretty good deals.

I have a Samsung 753DF 17". I love it, and it was nice and cheap. The flat screen helps a lot to get rid of reflections and glares.

Sony Trinitrons are probably the nicest non-LCD monitors out there. They use expensive aperture grille technology rather than shadow mask technology on many other monitors. However, they do have two lines running horizontally across the screen. This is because it has three electron guns instead of one, hence the name Trinitron. Some poeple hate these lines and refuse to buy one because of them, and others, myself included, barely notice them. If it doesn't bother you, than a Sony Trinitron will be an absolutely great monitor, although at quite the cost.

Again, I LOVE Sony Trinitrons. They are the best monitors by far! As for the two lines across the screen, you can only see them when you have a white or very light background/window on your screen, and even then, you don't really notice em. Yes, they're expensive...but a good monitor is well worth it, especially if you spend a lot of time looking at it!
