ati drivers

hello
when i first installed my 7500 series video card i downloaded drivers off of ati site,having trouble lately with games,so now i have downloaded latest drivers,to install them do i just right click from device manager select update drivers?i tried that and when i point to the folder there in ,it doesnt show up,do i need to create a new folder for them,there is an ati folder with subfolders that say ati drivers should i drag them to that folder?also the two drivers i downloaded was display adapter and control panel,do i need the control panel drivers as well?the original drivers i had were open gl,does that make any difference when choosing drivers?

No, what you need to do is uninstall the ATI drivers and the control panel in add/remove programs, reboot, decline the installation of the default Windows drivers, then install the new drivers by running what you downloaded, then install the new control panel the same way - run what you downloaded.
