Hello and thanks in advance.
I recently sold a friend of mine a gf3 ti200 128mg. I ran this card for over a year in my current system described below. So I know it will run at 4x agp.
His system is as follows,
900Mghz amd Athlon
pcchips 810L w/ sis730s chipset, wich does support 4x agp
256mg ram @ 133
onboard cmedia sound
40gig wd hd
350 watt psu
WinXP Pro
Now all I can get this video card to run at is 2x agp. I have been into the bios, there is no entry to adjust the aperature size.
All I can find in the BIOS as far as the video goes is initial display and that gives me the pci and onboard agp option, I tried both to no avail.
I have also installed the agp slot drivers from pcchips, updated the chipset drivers and looked in the registry for anything that may mention agp and came up with nothing.
I do have the mobo manual and there is no mention of a jumper to disable the onboard agp and I also looked on the mobo and did not see one. The only thing the manual says about using an agp card is to make sure the drivers for the agp slot are installed.
So all and all I am at a total loss as to how to get this card to run at its full potential, as much as it can on this board anyway.
So if anyone has any ideas or suggestions please let me know.
Thanks again,
db
