I have a 30 gig maxtor 2mb buffer

upgrading to a 80 special edition 8mb buffer

what is the easiest way to move EVERYTHING from the 30 to the 80. i have broadband and home networking so those are options. Is there any software that will help?

i only want a one hdd system

You could either ghost it or set up the O/S on the 80 gigger, then install your progs and move your data over by slaving your 30 gigger.

I think Western Digital (I assume that's what the 80 GB is) has tools that will allow you to move all the data. Check to see what came with the drive or check their website.

Doing it with Maxblast should be a similar process (if the new drive is a Maxtor, not a WD).
