i want to wipe everything off my c drive coz its full of crap and unwanted bits and pieces. how would i do this while using Windows XP, i have not figured out a way

if you want to format your HD completely and start from scratch then stick a boot disk in and format C and put in the partitions you like using fdisk and fire up windowsXP when you have your partitions mapped out. I was going to post a link of some refernce here but I couldn't seem to find the one I was reading, if you are still having problems post back some one will help you out :)

youll have to make a backup of all your data and make sure you sort out all your drivers before fdisk/ format,learned that from first hand experience:Dyou can you use this (http://jermar.com/) to copy drivers
Fdisk and format from a bootdisk is a procedure left over from Win9x, with XP you boot with the XP CD and use setup to partition and format the drive. You can leave the partition(s) alone and simply format the drive, or you can remove the partition(s) and recreate them, whatever you prefer.
