Inexpensive MOBO for P4 423 pin processor

Hi all,
I would like recommendations for an inexpensive but stable motherboard that would be compatible with a P4 1.3 GHZ 423 pin processor a have left over from an old Dell computer. I don't need anything fancy at all, since this machine will use a lot of rather outdated parts I have accumulated over time.

The problem will be to find one at all. IMHO you'd be better off trying to sell the CPU to someone that has a system where the CPU died or find someone who's CPU died and they will sell the old motherboard. If you sell it, use that money to purchase a different CPU that can be installed in current motherboards. The reason I say this is last year I was looking for a replacement MB for my 1.4. I finally found a heatsink I could bolt on the motherboard to replace the broken part of the socket. It was pretty dismal at that time.

All the 423 boards at Compgeeks are RDRAM boards, an unnecessary expense unless you have some RDRAM kicking around to put in it. The DFI is a SDRAM board, Justdeals has a SDRAM Abit, but it's twice the price.

Thanks for the replies, I was hoping for a board that used DDRAM. I have searced around and found nothing as good as what you have provided. I guess Dell sold me a machine with a pretty outdated processor design.

I wish I had a little more knowledge at the time I made that purchase. I definitely would have done things differently... like building my own computer.

The only DDR boards for socket 423 that I'm aware of have Via chipsets - and I won't touch one of those with a 10 foot pole, but if you really want one, here you go........

I don't need to buy a problem! Probably reason they're still available is that folks are aware of possible conflicts.
