I've been told you can connect your case fans to your Mobo, but this isn't suggested and they should all be connected to my PSU. Is this true? I've got a 350w Turbolink. Thanks.

the fans might draw too much power through the mobo, not good, and if you have a lot of case fans, a lot of mobos dont have a large amount of fan headers, mine has none.

all of mine are 4 pin connected to my PSU and i have a 350w

Yes... and No.... "normal" or "typical" if you prefer, fans have no problems running off the motherboard. The only real exception is if you use special high powered fans, which normally come with connectors to hook directly to your PS anyway.

Any quality mobo will have No problems running as many fans as it supports, which is typically CPU, front, and rear fans. Besides, all that is normally needed is the CPU fan and rear case fan to keep things cool.

Hooking them up to the motherboards allows RPM monitoring which is a good thing. It lets you see early fan problems, which hooking them up direct does not.

I actaully took my rear, front, and cpu fan, and took the power and ground wires out of the connector, wired them to the psu, and left the rpm wire connected to the motherboard, so they would go full speed, and still be monitored, with no worries about overloading the mobo.

do the fans hook up to eachother so I only use one connection on the power supply?

yup, they come with pas through connectors so you can daisy chain 2 or 3 off one plug no problem if you get the 4pin version
