I have bought this atx tower-hi cute with lights at the front and at the side. Its great. But sometimes I want to off the lights, and since there is no switches on the pc- I do not know what to do. There is no manual with the box-if ther ewas maybe threw it away...
Personally I like the lights-but others around me are annoyed-maybe its too cool.:D
I could always cut the wires to the LED's I think there is a better solution

if you can find any way to turn them off why not just install you own little switch...? Wont be hard at all

Good idea-but I need to find a way to turn it off first. Is there some casing guide around where it teaches everything

what are they permanently on or summit? Just take the power source away and snip the wires. I suppose even if you cant take the power supply away if they are only LED's then your not gonna kill yourslef snipping the wires, hardly a huge voltage ot current flying through. (N.B. dont come after me if you manage to electricute yourself, lol)Find yourself a nuce little switch from somewere and hook them up....

Well it looks like this
http://www.halifax.com.my/Casing/casing.htm
These were the closest pictures I got
See these 2 pictures:-the last two
e-View TRT7728-B BLUE MAGGOT P4 400W ATX w/ 2USB PORT ~ 3 Fans

e-View TRT7728-S TOMB RAIDER P4 400W ATX w/ 2USB PORT (Silver) ~ 3 Fans

It kind of looks like that but at the front-where all the power switches and cd rom are there are blue lights at each side going diagonal at both sides-its blue LED's, one on top and one on the bottom-between the Led's is a plastic/glass tube-with what appears to be bubbles in it. Its the same like a pandaflour light. So with two led's running through-then the whole glass lits up.

There is 2 USB ports at the front at the bottom

like this picture
e-View 7118K P4 400W ATX w/ 2USB PORT (Silver) ~ 2 Fans
(5 from bottom picture)

And this picture is almost the same with my pc.

Now on the left side-presuming that the tower is in front- there is a glasss window-so I can see through -and I see everything on the motherboard. In the middle of the glass-middle of the tower there is a fan with lights-blue, green and red. So when the pc is on the fan spins and the lights lit up-very nice. Ther power from this comes from the normal power supply cord-like for the cd-rom. If I disconnect the power supply-the light off's and the fan stop moving.

I think I better take a picture of this tower and post it.
How do you post pictures of your pc-like I saw at [H]ardocp.com? I don't have a webpage. I think that will be much easier.

Last-how do you make switches for lights? article and daigram please.

No diagram is necesary for learning how to use a switch. Just go to radioshack or wherever and buy a SPST switch. It is the kind with only two terminals. Cut one of the power lines to the LEDs and solder or otherwise attach one side of the cut wire to one terminal of the switch, and the other side of the wire to the other terminal.

If you don't know how to solder, go here (http://www.epemag.wimborne.co.uk/solderfaq.htm), or do a google search for more, there's plenty of articles out there. Buy a cheap radioshack 15 watt soldering iron, some solder, and have at it.

Edit: are you also asking how to turn off the lights for your fan? On my LED fan there is a strip of green stuff, kinda lke what you see on PCBs running around the oustide edge which powers them all, just cut it or the wires running to the strip, not the fan, and install a switch as described above.

You could mount the switch to a blank drive bay panel if you have any. To give the switches a little style, see if you can find ones that are security switches that have labels that say "safe" and "armed" or something to that affect.
