Black Bezel Frontplate Kit

Has anyone used one of these kits to disguise a white or light colored internal drive? Does it make it "blend in?"

I bought a white CDRW and my new machine is black and grey.

You could =stealth= the drive

Or, if you like voiding warenties even more, you could just use a little inginuity and take the face plate off and paint it to match your case...

Painting it with Vinyl dye is about the cheapest and easiest way to go about it.

You can get the stuff (it's like spray paint, except adheres to plastic like a surface dye) at Auto Zone for about 4 bucks a can.

1) don't paint the volume wheel, it'll jam up
2) vinyl dye stinks, BAD, paint outside ;)
3) if you're gonna paint the tray seal the drive well with masking tape
