Cold Cathode Fan In PSU

Does anybody see any problem with me replacing a fan in the Power Supply with a Cold Cathode Fan?

It shold work, as long as there is enough space for the cold cathode. I think they sit ontop of the fans, and not inside of them.
BUT, be careful not to electrocute yourself on the capacitors on the inside of the psu. Those things can carry a pretty hefty jolt if your not careful.

Yep, been over the capacitor thing in a dif thread. I'm going to let it sit overnight and then use the 'touch both leads to a piece of metal' discharge trick.

**Note to anybody reading this: don't try above mentioned methode.

The picture doesn't show where the inverter is. If it is on the fan, it will be a nice souce of heat sitting in your power supply. If its connected in-line to a power cable, like most cathodes are, you will have to make sure that your cables are long enough to reach out of the PSU to the inverter.

The inverter is attached by wire, so I can put it outside of the Power Supply. Hopefully the cables are long enough :)
