might & Magic VII & directx9

I am trying to install Might & Majic VII and it says need to have DirectX 6 or higher. However I do have DirectX9 and I even did the trouble shooting for it and everything is OK. Can anyone help me with this?

Try uninstalling it and installing it again.

Just install anyhow. It should keep going through the process, with a dire warning about how it may not work. I have installed MMVII, MMVIII, and MMIX all on DX 9 with no troubles.
